Buying Saffron
Choose saffron by evidence you can inspect: whole threads, a precise origin, a harvest date, a named seller and a clear testing status. Avoid anonymous powder and unsupported grade claims.
Start with whole threads
Whole stigmas let you inspect the thread shape, colour and cut before cooking. Powder hides the features that distinguish saffron from fillers.
Look for a precise origin
“Imported” is not an origin. Our saffron is single-lot and grown in Herat, Afghanistan; the harvest origin and date are printed on the jar.
Check the testing status
Independent ISO 3632 testing for our current lot is pending. We will publish the complete certificate on the Lab Report page when it is issued. Until then, we do not claim a documented ISO category.
Know the return terms
Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery for sealed, unopened items. Email us before returning anything so we can confirm the return instructions.
Choose the format that fits
Our Afghan saffron collection offers the same Herat threads in 1 g, 2 g, 3 g, 5 g and 10 g sizes, plus the two-bottle gift box.
